Bonjour et bienvenue à Central! My name is Erin Lerouge and this is my 21st year of teaching and my seventh year at Central and I am a proud Cyclone. I grew up in Edmonton and moved to Red Deer 17 years ago. I have a B.Ed. from the University of Alberta and an M. Ed.in Second Language Learning from the University of Calgary.
I am so excited to have students back in class this year. While there will be some new challenges, I am committed to making this year engaging and fulfilling for all students.
As always, I am very excited to be in the classroom with the amazing students at Central. I will be teaching 6e année Sciences et Mathématiques, 7e année Sciences et Mathématiques and 8e année Sciences. I am a certified DELF (Diplome d'etudes de la langue francaise) trainer and examiner for levels A1 to B2. I am also very involved in Central's extracurricular activities. I will be coaching handball and badminton. As well, I will be helping with our CMS Leadership team and the Café Français and other French cultural activities. I am an enthusiastic supporter of second-language learning and the important skills language learners develop.
My goal as a teacher is to make sure all my students feel successful, safe and accepted at school. I look forward to getting to know all my students and working with them to give them what they need to experience success this year.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, playing indoor and outdoor soccer, biking, running and spending important family time with my husband and four children.
I am looking forward to a fantastic 2020-21 year at Central. Please, do not hesitate to contact me at the school by phone or by email.
