Bonjour et bienvenue à Central! My name is Erin Lerouge and this is my 19th year of teaching and my fifth year at Central and I am a proud Cyclone. I grew up in Edmonton and moved to Red Deer 15 years ago. I have a B.Ed. from the University of Alberta and an M. Ed.in Second Language Learning from the University of Calgary.
As always, I am very excited to be in the classroom with the amazing students at Central. I will be teaching 7e année Français et Mathématiques, 8e année Anglais and 6e année Mathématiques et Sciences. I am a certified DELF examiner for levels A1 to B2. I am also very involved in Central's extracurricular activities. I will be coaching handball and badminton. As well, I will be helping with our STARS Leadership team and the Café Français and other extracurricular French activities. I am an enthusiastic supporter of second-language learning and the important skills language learners develop.
My goal as a teacher is to make sure all my students feel successful, safe and accepted at school. I look forward to getting to know all my students and working with them to give them what they need to experience success this year.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, playing indoor and outdoor soccer, biking, running and spending important family time with my husband and four children.
I am looking forward to a fantastic 2018-19 year at Central. Please, do not hesitate to contact me at the school by phone or by email.
