I am very happy to welcome our students and families to Central Middle School. I am also excited that your first year will also be my first year as part of the Central Middle School community. I grew up in Red Deer, attending Red Deer Public Schools for my K-12 education. I attended the University of Calgary for degrees in history and later in education. I also have a masters degree in leadership and school improvement from the University of Alberta. In addition to my tenure at Central, I am also an instructor at Red Deer College in the Faculty of Education, teaching 4th year student teachers in social studies curriculum.

After over seven years teaching grades 6,7, and 8 at Normandeau School, I am now thrilled to call Central my new home. It is my honour to serve as a Grade 6 teacher for our students in the fields of Social Studies, English Language Arts, Health and Recreation Education.  This year, I am excited to assist our incredible STARS Leadership teachers and students in making our school and community a better place to be. We have opportunities every day for our students to learn, grow and contribute to Central. I am a strong advocate for students and a believer in a middle school philosophy of inclusion where every student can find success in his or her own way. My number one concern is that our students feel happy and safe at our school, and are constantly seeking to learn and achieve excellence.

If you have any questions about your child's educational program or path to success at Central, please do not hesitate to email, text or call me at any time.
