Learning Support Team - Learning Assistance Teacher
Hi! My name is Lisa Olesen and this is my third year at Central Middle School. I am so excited to be a part of this great school with amazing students and staff! I am the Engish Learning Assistance Teacher (LAT). I also teach Anglais 6, and Grade 8 LA & SS. I am looking forward to a great school year and getting to know the students at Central.
I have 15 years teaching experience. I spent one year teaching at Lacombe Outreach school and I spent 11 years teaching English at Lindsay Thurber. Prior to getting my education degree, I was an Educational Assistant at Lacombe Junior High School for 5 years.
I have lived in Central Alberta my entire life, and I have lived in Red Deer for the past 14 years. I have three wonderful children and a fun loving granddaughter. All of my children are grown and living their lives in Central Alberta.
I believe that a student, when given the right opportunities and the right environment, has the ability to succeed and success leads to a more positive and open outlook on life and what can be accomplished. I am thrilled and honoured to be a part of the incredible learning at Central. I am excited to be a part of the students' journey as they discover these opportunities. I am looking forward to helping them find the tools and environment they need to find their strength and successes. I am excited to see the students flourish and find a love for learning.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child and his/her success at Central, please feel free to contact me at the school!
I look forward to the year and meeting the students and parents of Central!
